Donate blood at Trent Building on University Park campus.

On Monday 28 February the National Blood and Transplant service (NHSBT) will run a blood donation session in the Great Hall, Trent Building.

The Students' Union has been working with the university and NHS for some time to bring blood donation sessions back to campus and the hope is that this will become a monthly event.

Whether you're a regular donor, or if this will be your first time, do something amazing and sign up today - spaces are already going fast!

The NHSBT needs nearly 5,000 people to give blood every day to meet the needs of hospitals and patients. They are always looking for a wide range of donors, but at the moment there is a particular need for:

  • male donors - men can donor more often than women
  • black donors - Ro blood is needed and is a common type for black donors
  • O negative/universal donors - hospitals need this blood type more regularly as it can be given to all patients and is especially useful in an emergency

Sign up today: https://www.blood.co.uk/.
