Can your hall of residence be the most sustainable?

Thursday, 18 January 2024
The Go! Greener accommodation competition is back.

We're facing a climate emergency and need your help to reduce the university's CO2 emissions. On average, our on-campus halls of residence account for over 4.8 million kg of CO2 each year. Per student, that's almost the equivalent to flying from London to New York!

The last competition was all about saving energy, this semester we're focusing on waste reduction. The hall who reduces landfill waste and increases recycling most, will win. By participating in the Go! Greener Halls Competition, you not only contribute to a more sustainable future but also become a catalyst for positive change. Together, we can make a difference and your actions can lead your hall to exciting prizes!

The competition runs Thursday 1 February - Sunday 17 March and includes all on-campus accommodation.
