The Cascade funding programme offers up to £10,000 in funding to help students get their projects off the ground.
The programme is intended to fund projects that benefit the student experience and uses donations from alumni and friends of the university.
Since 2007 Cascade funding has given away more than £1,000,000 to more than 120 projects and applications are now being accepted for the next wave of funding.
Previous funding has supported student-led projects such as Community First Responders, Liter of Light, Foodprint, Night Owls and Vets in the Community.
Of special interest to the programme are projects that:
- Connect campuses and communities
- Encourage creativity and innovation
- Enhance teaching and learning experiences
- Promote environmental sustainability
- Advocate for global citizenship
- Promote healthy bodies and healthy minds
The deadline for expressions of interest is Monday 22 February and the deadline for applications is Sunday 28 February.
