Have you been affected by the recent protests across the UK?

Monday, 05 August 2024

The disorder taking place in some UK cities has been very upsetting and distressing to witness and we remain deeply concerned about the impact on our people, particularly those from Muslim, Black, racially or ethnically minoritised communities.

At the University of Nottingham, we are clear that we do not tolerate bullying, harassment, victimisation, discrimination or hate crime, on our campuses. In Nottingham we pride ourselves on being one inclusive global community where diversity is celebrated, and everyone is welcome.

It is encouraging to see our community supporting each other, in addition to the university   providing additional support for those staff and student communities who need it.

Report + Support

If you, or someone you know, has experienced or witnessed an incident like this, you can tell us anonymously or provide your contact details through our Report + Support system

Report + Support is an online platform where students and staff or anyone with concerns around students or staff can make a report if they have experienced or witnessed incidents of harassment, abuse or assault either anonymously or by submitting details to receive further support and advice and continues to operate over the summer.

If you would benefit from additional support at any point, you can access this by booking an appointment – either in-person or virtual – with your local Support and Wellbeing team. You can book appointments through MyWellbeing in the StudentLife portal

The Chaplaincy and Faith Support team are also on hand to support, whether you belong to a faith or not. You can find out more on accessing their support through the Chaplaincy webpages.
