NHS Future Health Van with people walking past in a motion blur

Join the UK’s largest health research programme

Monday, 16 February 2026
Our Future Health, the UK’s largest ever health research programme, is opening a clinic on University Park Campus at the Trent Building Car Park.

The clinic will be in situ from Monday 16 March to Sunday 22 March 2026. By taking part, you can help researchers find new ways to prevent, detect and treat diseases.

Too often, we detect and treat diseases only when people start showing symptoms. Yet diseases like dementia, cancer, diabetes, heart disease and stroke often start in the body long before symptoms are detectable.

Our Future Health volunteers share information about their health and lifestyle, helping researchers to better understand how diseases develop and how we can treat them earlier. Over 2.5 million volunteers have joined the programme so far, and more are joining every day.

If you join, you will have the chance to find out more about your health now, including your blood pressure. You will also be offered a £10 voucher to recognise the time and effort of volunteering.

How to take part

It’s quick and easy to join:

  1. Read and sign a consent form
  2. Answer some online questions about yourself
  3. Attend an appointment to provide a small blood sample and have some physical measurements taken

You can book an appointment at the Trent Building Car Park online. There will also be a limited number of walk-in appointments available from Tuesday 17 March – Thursday 19 March from 11am to 6pm.
