Libraries changing to cashless

Tuesday, 25 May 2021
From 1 June 2021, all University of Nottingham libraries will be cashless.

As of Tuesday 1 June cash will no longer be accepted in libraries across the university. From this date on all library payments will need to be made via card

How can I pay for fines, printer credit etc?
Printer credit can be topped up online and fines can be paid via your library account on NUsearch. You can also make payments on the self service machines available in Hallward, Greenfield Medical and George Green (Braille and font size adjustment is available on the self service machines).

I’m worried I’ll have accumulated fines?
Fines on library loans are currently being waived and we’ll review this at the end of the summer term.

How can I return my books?
There are returns boxes outside of the library entrances so you can return your loans at your convenience. You can also use our freepost returns service if you’re unable to visit the libraries.

For any other payments or queries, please contact the Library Helpline by email, phone or Live Chat.
