Got an idea to improve student equity? We’re offering grants for student-led ideas that support our diverse student communities.
You can request funding of up to £400 for your idea. Projects may include talks, panels, training, trips, decorations, campaigns or something else entirely – we want to keep an open mind and be led by you.
The funding would need to be spent by July 2026, and you are encouraged to collaborate with university departments and teams such as Student Wellbeing, Sport, ResX, Libraries, Chaplaincy or your local school.
Eligibility
- Any registered undergraduate or postgraduate student at the University of Nottingham.
You’ll first need to get in touch with our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) team. They’ll then arrange a chat to discuss your plan further.
Things that will be considered as part of the chat are:
- What is it that you are delivering?
- Where will you be delivering it?
- How will you deliver it?
- Who will benefit?
- Why is it needed (local evidence, community insight)?
- What (if any) other groups are you working with?
- What funding is required and what will you spend it on?
- How will you measure success (simple, meaningful indicators)
- What is your capacity (governance, resources, skills and experience, finances)?
