A number of roads around Sutton Bonington Campus are due to close for an extended period.
In the coming weeks a number of roads surrounding Sutton Bonington Campus will be closed to vehicles, due to repairs to the bridge and wall on Marle Pit Hill, Sutton Bonington.
During these periods access for pedestrians, cyclists, and horses will be maintained on Marle Pitt Lane.
Monday 20 January - Friday 24 January
Marle Pit Hill will be closed overnight (8pm – 6am).
Monday 27 January - Friday 18 April
Marle Pit Hill will be completely closed to vehicles.
Landcroft Lane will be closed to the east of Sutton Bonington campus’ south entrance. There will be no vehicle access to Sutton Bonington campus from Melton Lane via Landcroft Lane.
Hungary Lane will be closed off after Hungary Lane Farm to prevent access from Trowell Lane into the village.
CT4N 66 route
The road closures will have no impact on university hopper buses but will mean that CT4N's 66 route will be unable to serve Sutton Bonington Campus between Monday 27 January and Friday 18 April. The bus will terminate at the bottom of Marle Pitt Hill and users will need to use the bus stops outside of St Michael's Church on Main Street in Sutton Bonington and walk the remaining distance to Sutton Bonington Campus.
