Need a primary or booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine? Have questions about vaccines or want to have your overseas vaccine validated?

The award-winning NHS mobile vaccination service will be on campus on the following dates:

Wednesday 16 November, 10am-4pm: University Park, In the Trent Building car park closest to Portland Building
Wednesday 30 November, 10am-4pm: Jubilee Campus, next to Newark Hall

The medivan will be offering the following services to all University of Nottingham students and researchers:

  • Primary and booster dose vaccinations
  • Overseas vaccine validations
  • ‘Let’s talk vaccinations’ clinic

Booking is not required for any of the above services – just turn up on the day. More information can be found below.

Primary and booster dose vaccinations

Anyone who is eligible for their first, second, third or booster Covid-19 vaccinations – but has not yet had these – will be able to get vaccinated by the NHS team. No bookings are necessary.

Overseas vaccine validations

If you received your Covid-19 vaccinations overseas, you will be able to have these validated by the NHS through the Overseas Vaccine Validation Record Service. This will enable you to continue to receive clinical care in the UK (such as a second, third, or booster dose of the vaccine) as well as support the information requirements for an NHS Covid pass.

Please note that, in order to use this service, you must be registered with a GP surgery in England and you must have an NHS number.

You will be eligible if you’ve had one of the following vaccines:

  • Oxford/Astra Zeneca (Vaxzevria)
  • Pfizer/BioNTech (Comirnaty)
  • Johnson & Johnson (Janssen)
  • Moderna (Spikevax)
  • Institute of India (Covishield)
  • Bahrat Biotech (Covaxin)
  • SinoVac (CoronaVac)
  • Beijing Institute of Biological Products (Sinopharm BIBP)

You must bring with you a valid form of identification (driving license, passport, etc) and proof of vaccination (certificate or confirmation of a vaccination event taking place – a booking confirmation is not sufficient).

Let’s talk vaccinations

These Q&A clinics are staffed by clinicians with information available in multiple languages. You can find out about vaccination myths and ask questions about the Covid-19 vaccination.
