PhD researcher, Weila Cui, is representing the University of Nottingham on the world stage.
This competition challenges research students to explain their PhD thesis in just three minutes to a non-specialist audience. It’s a global showcase of clarity, creativity, and impact, bringing together finalists from world-leading universities across the U21 network.
We’re proud to announce that Weila Cui, PhD researcher at Nottingham University Business School China, is representing the University of Nottingham on the world stage after winning our Tri-Campus 3MT® Competition 2025.
Weila’s presentation, 'Exploring the integration of generative AI in advertising agencies: a co-creative process model for human-AI collaboration', tackles one of the most pressing questions of our time: how humans and AI can work together in creative industries. Her research offers insights that could shape the future of advertising and beyond.
This competition helps us celebrate Nottingham’s research excellence on a global stage, amplify the voice of emerging researchers, and join an international community that values clear, impactful research communication.
