Current Research

The multidisciplinary research is focused on development and studies of functional low-dimensional materials and crosses the boundaries between Physics, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Medical School and Engineering.

Current research interests:

1. growth and fundamental properties of 0D (quantum dots, nanoparticles and perovskites) and 2D materails;

2. hybrid low dimensional composites in optoelectronic devices;

3. multifunctional nanoprobes for medical imaging and nanomedicine.

Past Research

The aim of my PhD work was to investigate the influence of different conditions on the electrical and optical properties of bulk II-VI (CdTe-based) materials: high- (up to 1200 0C) and low- (down to 77 K) temperature DC and AC Hall-effect and conductivity measurements; high-temperature transport measurements at different partial pressure. I was involved in all stages of the bulk semiconductors characterisation: sample processing, set-up construction and measurements.
