About Us
Welcome from the Head of School
The School of Geography strives for excellence in all of its activities, from teaching to research.
Geography is a broad subject, and geography at the University of Nottingham is highly distinctive in that it has internationally-recognised strengths across the whole discipline, spreading from the arts and humanities, through the social and natural sciences to engineering and technology.
The school offers opportunities for the study of a diverse range of geographical topics, and the school environment has been formally recognised as being conducive to the development of internationally excellent and world-leading research. Moreover, the school's work is internationally-focused, with teaching and research networks that span the world, as well as having schools based at the university’s campuses in China and Malaysia.
The school's core strength lies in its excellent staff, students and facilities, all hosted within vibrant and supportive communities in an internationally-leading university. One of the school's greatest assets is its friendly, collegial and supportive environment.
Whatever your specific interests are, I hope that we have something to offer you.
