The School of Geography aims to be a welcoming environment to support excellence in all of our activities, including our teaching and research portfolios.
Geography at the University of Nottingham is distinctive in that it has internationally-recognised strengths across the whole discipline, spreading from the arts and humanities, through the social and natural sciences to engineering and technology.
The school offers opportunities for the study of a diverse range of geographical topics, and the school environment has been formally recognised as being conducive to the development of internationally excellent and world-leading research.
The school's work is internationally-focused, with teaching and research networks that span the globe, including our geography colleagues based at the university’s campuses in China and Malaysia.
The school's core strengths lie in its excellent staff, students and facilities, which combine to provide vibrant and supportive communities in our internationally-leading university.
One of the school's greatest assets is its friendly, collegial and supportive environment.
