This lecture explores the factors that have contributed to the global climate crisis. Simon assesses the vulnerability of people and ecosystems around the world to climate variability and explores some of the predictions of future climate change for pressing issues such as water security, sea level rise, food security, and human health. A range of potential solutions to the crisis are discussed, including individual actions, government policies, and technological approaches.
