George Ayers' dissertation on Reshaping Modern Citizenship: Counter-Terrorism and Public Vigilance in London, won a 'highly commended' award in the RGS-IBG Political Geography Research Group dissertation prize competition.
The award letter stated that the judges were impressed with the way George engaged with issues of modern citizenship and his approach to data collection and analysis.
His dissertation supervisor was Jake Hodder.
