Congratulations to:

• Louise Crewe on being awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Medal for her excellent work in relation to the faculty’s ESE portfolio.
• Nick Clare on being awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Medal for his work in support of student mental health and the promotion of mental resilience.
• Giles Foody on being appointed a full member of REF2021 sub-panel 14 (Geography and Environmental Studies), and on being elected a member of Academia Europaea (MAE).
• Odette Paramor and Yu-Ting Tang (School of Geographical Sciences, UNNC) on the recognition of their GEOG1029 Environmental Science and Society and GEOG1028 Research Skills modules respectively through the Zhejiang Education Department’s ‘First Class’ Undergraduate Module Scheme. These awards provide external recognition of excellence in teaching and the quality of the academic programme.
