Liam teaches on a range of courses at the undergraduate level, primarily covering GIS, river management, and environmental modelling, as well as field courses to the Lake District (compulsory first-year trip) and Mount St Helens (optional third-year River Management and Restoration module).
Liam is a physical geographer with broad interests in remote sensing, GIS, fluvial geomorphology, and environmental modelling. His current research focuses on the estimation of CO2 evasion from rivers to the atmosphere, using aerial imagery to capture a high-resolution representation of surface waters to help parameterise CO2 evasion models.
