I teach on a range of courses at the undergraduate level, including Introduction to GIS, Interpreting Geographical Data, Spatial Decision Making, Rivers in the Landscape, and Environmental Modelling. My field teaching includes the compulsory first-year trip to the Lake District.
I also supervise dissertations and projects at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and can be contacted with requests to discuss research that aligns with my areas of expertise.
My interests and expertise cover GIS, remote sensing, and environmental modelling, primarily applied to river environments. My other main interest is teaching-focused research, with a focus on elements such as improving group working, accessible fieldwork, and embedding EDI principles in teaching and learning (e.g. making modules accessible by design).
