Compiler for Open Resources for Education (CORE)

CoreThe CORE Tool is an ongoing project to develop a software tool to allow educators to aggregate Open Educational Resources (OER) in a pedagogical package, for use in their teaching. The tool is currently the subject of a bid for funding under the JISC OER Rapid Innovation programme.

Learning Object Attribrute Metric Tool (LOAM)

LOAMThe LOAM (learning object attribute metric) Tool has been designed as an evaluation tool for e-learning materials. It allows selection of a range of attributes or criteria against which the user wishes to assess the learning materials and then provides a series of tools to allow that assessment to be carried out and the results displayed.

Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for Reusable Learning Objects (CETL-RLO)

CETLThe Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for Reusable Learning Objects was a major programme funded by HEFCE with some £3.3 million over 5 years, led by London Metropolitan University, with Cambridge University and the University of Nottingham as partners. Whilst the programme came to a natural conclusion in 2010, at the end of the 5-year funding period, its website and the many learning objects it developed are still online at:

Learning Objects: Lifelong Applications (LOLA)

LolaThe LOLA project was funded by the Eduserv Foundation as a cross-sector collaboration to develop a range of multimedia learning objects covering topics relating to Infection Control and Medicines & Prescribing. The learning objects developed, and many of their component parts, remain available in the RLO repository on the LOLA website, for use under Creative Commons conditions by healthcare educators in HE, FE and the NHS.
