Autism 920x400

This event is being offered free by the School of Education to celebrate International Autism Month and to raise awareness of the needs of young people on the autism spectrum.

The seminar will introduce newly published research evidence from Australia that showed the value of elements of structured teaching for whole class planning and successful completion of work.

We will review the research evidence and discuss how some of the strategies trialled could be used in mainstream schools in the UK.

Speakers:

Dr Cassidy's will talk about "Mental health assessment in autism" and will relate her talk to how that impacts on education.
