  • Whilst current CRB application forms will be accepted by the DBS until 28 February 2013, and existing applications will be processed, the certificate will change and DBS Certificates will be issued for all checks completed from 1 December 2012.
  • New DBS application forms will replace the current CRB application from 1 December 2012.  The recruitment team will be sending these out from this date with job offers and contracts.
  • There are other planned changes for 2013 including the introduction of portable certificates, as details become clearer we will communicate nearer the time when we know more.  For the time being, you will need to think about changing all references from CRB to DBS in any School/Department documentation you are using.  All templates on the HR Workspace will be updated in December 2012.
