What people say about us
“I found the open conversations session valuable and thought the team who delivered the session were really good and I believe I can apply this to my role, which is something I wasn't confident in before”.
"Eye opening for myself, felt I was seen and had a safe place to express myself.”
“Having OD representatives [supporting Business Engagement in the Digital Core project] has been invaluable - always considering the people and culture impact of change activity, especially where we were working under tight deadlines. The team's counsel and advice has always been on point and offered a unique perspective, which has ensured the project has remained transparent and people-centric in its approach.”

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
How can my team access OD support?
Visit the Development Portal for more details about the support available, and to complete our Support Request Form. We’ll then contact you to discuss tailored support based on your team’s needs and goals.
What does an OD consultation involve?
We begin with an initial conversation to understand your needs. From there, we offer tailored advice, resources, and/or facilitated sessions to support your team’s development. Throughout these conversations, our OD colleagues also aim to create a safe and supportive space for reflection, helping you think through challenges and opportunities with clarity.
What is a Cultural Diagnostic?
This is a comprehensive assessment designed to evaluate the prevailing culture within the university, a department or faculty. The goal is to understand how well the current culture aligns with the University’s goals, values, and strategies. The diagnostic tool outlines eight themes which can be carried out as a whole or individual elements to probe specific areas, as required.
This is an unbiased, independent review, which will give you an in-depth understanding of the effectiveness of how staff are led, managed and developed within your department. It will allow you to determine where areas of good practice exist to help build in areas where this may not be the case. It will also help to highlight areas for further improvement and give you ideas/ support to address any issues highlighted. Confidentiality will be maintained throughout the process to ensure that feedback received is open and honest.
Do you offer workshops or training?
Yes! We work collaboratively to design cohesive interventions that align with your team’s needs. Where appropriate, we partner with our colleagues in Learning and Development to ensure a holistic approach, integrating relevant training and resources to maximise impact.
How do I request support for an equality, diversity and inclusion initiative?
Our team can advise on EDI strategies and initiatives. Contact us to discuss your requirements via the support request form.
