Abstract accepted for EurSafe Congress 2019: Sustainable governance and management of food systems

Following her attendance at EurSafe 2018 in Vienna, Renelle McGlacken is looking forward to presenting again in this year's host city of Tampere, Finland. Using preliminary qualitative data insights from a Wellcome Trust funded work, which explores the UK animal research debate, the talk will consider how publics negotiate their knowledge and ignorance of animal research, with 'not-knowing' reflected on as a deliberate strategy in managing their position on the issue.
