Keynote at German STS association

Dimitris Papadopoulos has been invited to give the keynote address at the first conference of the newly formed German STS Association: Technoscience culture – experimental practices of appropriating the world at the University of Hannover.

The topic of the conference follows on from a central concern of Science and Technology Studies which aims to constructively resolve the strict dualism of analytical expertise and creative practice in current academic contexts. Especially in view of the current societal challenges and crises--corona pandemic, climate crisis, but also general economic and political crises worldwide--it seems necessary to us to go beyond pure analysis and to think about possible interventions instead.
