School of Law mooters reach the Final Round of the ELSA 4th European Human Rights Moot Court Competition

In November 2015, ELSA Nottingham put forward a team for the 4th European Human Rights Moot Court Competition (HRMCC), which is organised by the European Law Students' Association (ELSA) in collaboration with the Council of Europe. Teams compete from all over Europe and the HRMCC brings together top law students to debate on international human rights law.

We are delighted to announce that our team is one of sixteen that has been selected for the Final Oral Round in the Palace of Justice in Strasbourg, France, from 14th-19th February 2016.

This is an immense achievement for ELSA Nottingham, and clearly demonstrates the growth of our society, which has just received observership status in October 2015.

The team members are as follows:

  • Rajvinder Singh Chahal (Final Year, LLB Law, The University of Nottingham)
  • Rutvi Mayur Shah (Final Year, LLB Law, The University of Nottingham)
  • David Lu (Exchange student from the University of New South Wales; BCom & MSc Courses in Innovation, Strategy and Finance)

The School of Law would like to offer our congratulations on this fantastic achievement, and best of luck for February!
