Professors Derclaye and Torremans speak about the protection of data at Paris conference

At a conference organised by the Institut de Recherche en Propriete Intellectuelle (IRPI) and Paris II University on 26 September 2018, Professor Derclaye spoke about whether the Database directive is still fit for purpose at the age of the Internet of Things, especially reporting on the study she co-wrote for DG Connect evaluating the said directive, while Professor Torremans talked about how private international law deals with the protection of data (both personal data, public data and confidential data).
