Dr Orsolya Toth was an invited speaker at the 11th Transnational Commercial Law Teachers' Conference in London

Dr Orsolya Toth presented a paper entitled ‘Trade Usage: The Achilleas Heel of English Law?’ arguing that a clear recognition of trade usage is needed under English law to ensure the coherent development of the law on contractual damages.

The theme of the conference was ‘When is Commercial Custom Law? The Dialogue between Commercial Practice and The Law’ and it brought together academics, senior judges and practitioners from all over the world.

The event was organised by the Queen Mary University of London - UNIDROIT Transnational Commercial Law Institute and held on 12-13 September 2019 in London at the offices of Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP.
