Professor John Jackson is centre-stage at UCL

Special Advocates in the Adversarial System: A Panel Discussion

Professor John Jackson will be centre-stage at an event on special advocates at UCL on Tuesday 31 March 2020 in which he will present some of the key points that emerged from his study of special advocates published recently in his book, Special Advocates in the Adversarial System (Routledge, 2019). 

His presentation will be followed by a discussion with panellists who have extensive experience of national security litigation from a variety of different perspectives. The event will be chaired by Jonathan Hall QC, the Independent Reviewer on Terrorism Legislation and panellists will include Tom Hickman QC, Cathryn McGahey QC, Shaheen Rahman QC and Stephen Silber (former  High Court Judge).
