The power of data in Public procurement: lessons from the frontline of the Covid-19 response

The PPRG and the OCP are delighted to announce the event:

The power of data in Public procurement: lessons from the frontline of the Covid-19 response

Friday 5 February 2021 13:15-14:40

This event by the University of Nottingham Public Procurement Research Group and the Open Contracting Partnership will take stock of the unprecedented size and scale of the disruption to public procurement markets from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Panellists from Afghanistan, the Netherlands, the Ukraine, Italy and the UK will be sharing their lessons from the frontline of that response. What worked and what didn’t, especially to manage the risks of emergency procurement? How can you buy fast and buy openly? And what does that tell us about the shape of future reforms?

We will go beyond discussing the legal and policy environment to also dig into the data to see what really happened and what that can tell us about successful strategies to manage future emergencies, as well as how we can build back better.

registration is via  eventbrite
