Dr Aris Georgopoulos invited to discuss "Safe Action for Europe" (SAFE) - the new Financial Support Mechanisms for European Defence and Security Industry

Dr Aris Georgopoulos participated in the event entitled "European Defence Industry" (on 5/12/2025), organised by the Jean Monnet European Research Centre of the University of the Aegean and Europe Direct North Aegean. Dr Georgopoulos discussed the developments on defence/security market integration, including the new financial support mechanisms such as "Safe Action for Europe" (SAFE), the revised policy of the European Investment Bank (EIB) to ease financing which will enable banks to increase liquidity in support for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the defence/security sector, and the new and revised regulatory instruments in the area of defence procurement.
