Biography of John Alfred Edwin Drury-Lowe (1881-1949)
John was the second son of William Drury Nathaniel Drury-Lowe, formerly Holden, who assumed the name and arms of Lowe in 1849 on inheriting Locko, and the additional surname of Drury in 1884.
He succeeded his brother William Drury Drury-Lowe in 1916. He was educated at Eton, and served as a Captain in the Scots Guards. He fought in Flanders in 1915.
He was a J.P. for Derbyshire from 1925, and was High Sheriff of Derbyshire in 1928.

He married in 1905 Dorothy Marian Kate (d 1965), dau. of Commander W.J. Casberd-Boteler of Eastry, Kent, and had:
