Biography

Jen first joined the unit in 2013 as a trial administrator, working on the CLOTHES trial in collaboration with the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology (CEBD) investigating the effectiveness of silk garments for children with excema. Jen then joined a small team delivering the iCord study - a small grant looking at the feasibility of data collection of preterm births in third world settings. Jen continued to support dermatology trials working on the BEEP trial, which looked at ointment usage for babies with excema, again in collaboration with the CEBD.

In 2015 Jen became a trial coordinator and began working on the Hi-light Vitiligo trial, a complex 3 arm trial looking at participants using a combination of NB_UVB light and steroid ointment to treat vitiligo at home. Jen worked on this device/IMP trial for 4 years, from set-up until publication this year.

In 2018 Jen began to manage the HUSH trial; this was a feasibility study in the area of audiology. In July 2019 Jen began working as trial manager on the POINT trial - a study comparing surgery versus non-surgical splint treatment for proximal phalanx shaft finger fractures in adults.

In 2019 Jen set up the POINT orthopedic trauma trial, comparing splints versus surgery for common finger fractures in adults, as trial manager. Jen has seen the POINT trial through set-up and recruitment and is currently supporting close-out.
