Biography

I am originally from India and moved to the UK in 2019. I completed my undergraduate degree in Architecture and worked as a part-time Architectural Assistant for a year. Following this, I worked as a Medical Secretary for a year and a half.

I developed an interest in research and clinical trials and became a Research Assistant at Manchester Royal Infirmary NHS Trust for a year. During my time there, I worked mainly on COVID-19 and Ophthalmology trials. I gained valuable knowledge on how trials are conducted within an NHS trust setup, including recruiting participants and running clinics. I worked on the frontline, executing studies.

In 2022, I moved to Nottingham and worked as a Research Practitioner at the Nottingham City Hospital Breast Institute. It was here that I discovered NCTU opportunities and became interested in the field. Currently, I am working as a Clinical Trial Co-ordinator for the BLUSH study.

Research Summary

BLUSH: Oxybutynin or venlafaxine for hot flushes in women who cannot or choose not to use hormone replacement therapy: randomised trial and economic evaluation.
