Biography

Rosalind studied at the University of Nottingham Medical School and completed a BMedSci degree in 2002 and BMBS degree in 2004. She has worked at Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Nottingham University Hospitals and University Hospitals Leicester throughout her clinical medical training and gained membership to the Royal College of Medicine, MRCP(UK) in 2006. She commenced Dermatology specialist training in 2008 and was awarded a UK DCTN (Dermatology Clinical Trials Network) SpR Fellowship in February 2010. Rosalind has worked at the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology since June 2011 when she was funded through the NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship scheme. She completed a PhD in December 2014 and subsequently finished Dermatology training in 2018. She now works as a Consultant Dermatologist in Nottingham alongside her role as Associate Professor in dermatology research. Her main interest is in the identification, management and outcome measurement of vulval skin disorders.

In 2018, Rosalind lead the Lichen Sclerosus Priority Setting Partnership to completion. She is now leading a programme of work in lichen sclerosus including: CORALS (Core Outcomes for Research in Lichen Sclerosus), developing diagnostic criteria for lichen sclerosus (funded through an NIHR Advanced Fellowship) and PEARLS (a randomised controlled trial comparing reactive against proactive therapy for the treatment of LS).

Rosalind is Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease, Research Lead for the British Society for the Study of Vulval Disease, Associate Section Editor for the British Journal of Dermatology, co-editor for Rook's Dermatology Handbook and Rook's Textbook of Dermatology (10th Edition).
