Research
Researcher of chronic respiratory disease, mainly COPD, with a focus on extrapulmonary manifestations and the role of pulmonary rehabilitation/ exercise. Global health with active collaborations in Nepal. Researching the persisting symptoms of patients recovering from COVID-19, including mechanistic studies and symptom burden. Studying the respiratory health of adults born preterm.Post Covid Research.
Co-investigator on the BLF Early COPD cohort (BE-COPD) and previously of several large consortia including MRC/ABPI COPD MAP and Technology Strategy Board "ERICA". Other grants from NIHR, GSK (investigator sponsored) and Pfizer (investigator sponsored). Supervising PhD students.
