Past Research

Research Fellow within the Centre for Sport, Exercise and Osteoarthritis Versus Arthritis. Study Manager and Principal Investigator (Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) for the multi-centre Significant Ankle Ligament Injury (SALI) Cohort study. The SALI study is a longitudinal prospective cohort study that aims to determine risk factors for incomplete recovery following a significant ankle ligament injury and for the development of ankle osteoarthritis.3000 ankle injury patients were recruited from Emergency Department sites across the UK. http://www.sportsarthritisresearchuk.org/research-projects/project-list/sali.aspx

PhD student and Research Associate in the Arthritis Research UK Pain Centre, Nottingham. My thesis examined structural associations of pain in the osteoarthritic human knee joint. It describes a key role for synovial inflammation in mediating an association with symptomatic osteoarthritis.
