PhD student,
Saurabh Jain completed his BSc in International Hospitality Management in 2002. Following this Saurabh completed his Management Training at Crowne Plaza Hotel, New Delhi and worked as a Team Leader in Shangri-La Hotel, New Delhi, India, followed by six years of experience as assistant hotel manager at Great Fosters Hotel in Surrey, UK. He is currently Operations Manager at Priest house Hotel in the UK and is also a member of the Institute of Hospitality. He has over 12 years of work experience in the hospitality industry.
In October 2012, Saurabh began his doctoral research aimed at exploring avenues to improve working conditions in the hospitality sector and to promote wellbeing and maximise performance. His research will examine the perspectives of managers and employees to identify which factors are important to improving organisational performance and sustainability and also identify key initiatives that have been taken by companies to manage working conditions. The findings of the research will be used to develop a comprehensive framework to improve working conditions and promote the health and wellbeing of employees in the hospitality sector
