Faculty of Arts PhD Scholarship BAME

The studentship covers:

Home tuition fees for three years full-time or six years pro-rata part-time.

A stipend which is tax-free, does not need to be paid back and will match the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) stipend. As an indication, the UKRI stipend for 2024 to 25 is £19,237 per year for full-time study, pro-rata part-time.

The studentship is open to candidates who:

• identify as being from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background
• hold an offer of a PhD place in the School of Humanities, the School of English, or the School of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies
• have a Home tuition fee status
