Jane Msumba is one of our undergraduates, who is entering the 3rd year of our MPharm course.  She recently volunteered at the 2018 FIP (International Pharmaceutical Federation) Congress in Glasgow.

Jane says:

'I really enjoyed volunteering at the 2018 FIP Congress in Glasgow as it was amazing to network with incredibly inspiring people from over 100 countries, all in one place! It was great to see how our varying cultures give us different and unique perspectives which really beautify our profession! It was particularly interesting to learn about how community pharmacies in Spain have technology in place which detect skin cancers (picture below was taken after interviewing a Spanish pharmacist on this topic) and how all pharmacies in Portugal are independent- no branch chains of pharmacies exist.

I would encourage everyone to get involved at the national, European and International Level, and to take part in similar congresses, whether it is with BPSA, EPSA, IPSF or FIP!'
