Teaching Associate in Politics and International Relations,
Gilsun Jeong is a Teaching Associate in the School of Politics and International Relations. He recently joined the University of Nottingham, having received his PhD in Contemporary European Studies from the University of Sussex earlier in 2025. His doctoral thesis, which examined the development of party-based Euroscepticism in the European Parliament during the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ukraine war, is forthcoming as a monograph with Palgrave Studies in European Union Politics. During his final year of doctoral study at Sussex, Gilsun also worked as a Research Associate on the 'Harnessing AI to Enhance Electoral Oversight' project, funded by Responsible AI UK.
