Boundary line methodology for yield gap analysis of farm systems
Main supervisor: Prof Murray Lark
This project is an exciting opportunity to develop skills in statistical modelling and to engage in cross-disciplinary research with crop, soil and farm-system scientists from international institutions. It will require creative thinking about how statistical tools can be made accessible to a range of users. All this will be done in the context of the development of novel statistical methodology for evaluating how crop yields and farming systems are limited by different environmental factors, and how they can be most effectively improved to promote food security and to safeguard farmers’ livelihoods and feed a growing population.
