To celebrate this year's International Women's Day (2022), the School of Politics and International Relations is hosting a very special one-off event on Thursday 3rd March, 1-2pm - held in A100 in the Law & Social Sciences Building.

For this, Dr Helen McCabe, Rights Lab Assistant Professor in Political Theory and Associate Professor in Political Theory, will deliver a presentation that reflects on her research on forced marriage, entitled 'How We Can Stop Forced Marriage'! This aligns with IWD’s three key ambitions "Celebrate women's achievement. Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality.”

There will be tea, coffee, biscuits and pastries served - and staff, students, associates and beyond are all welcome to attend free of charge!
