Panel discussion followed by Q&A on ending violence against women and girls
Do you have a passion for ending violence against women and girls, particularly those in exploitative working conditions or situations of modern slavery?
Come along to the latest Dean’s Discussion evening, and hear more about some of the issues faced by many women in Leicester and Leicestershire, and be inspired by some of the amazing work being undertaken by local, national and international organisations.
We’ll hear from two incredible panellists, with an in-depth discussion and time for Q&A – it promises to be a fascinating, thought-provoking, inspiring and potentially hard-hitting evening.
Panellists: Elena Gamska (Hope for Justice) and Lauren Eglen (Rights Lab)
We will think about gender and social justice topics including forced marriage, domestic servitude, workplace exploitation, trafficking locally and globally, advocacy & amplifying survivor voices, rebuilding lives after escaping exploitation, barriers to action, widespread societal reform, and the role of the church and community in ending these forms of violence.
