Email:Alicia.Daley@nottingham.ac.uk
Alicia Daley works as part of the Rights Lab's Business and Economies Programme on research to connect modern slavery data to questions of policy and practice. She is currently working as part of a team that is scoping methods for estimating prevalence of modern slavery in the UK, and previously in the Rights Lab conducted policy-focused research on overlapping vulnerabilities to modern slavery in collaboration with the UK's Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner's Office. This research advocated for a multi-agency approach to manage potential cases of modern slavery to ensure effective identification, intervention and support for victims. Her wider research interests include the intersection between human rights, environmental policy and sustainable finance. Before joining the Rights Lab, Alicia worked within the public sector. She also founded and managed a campaign that engaged with young people to increase their understanding of human rights and to promote inclusivity. Alongside leading academics, teachers and publishing houses, the campaign donated a range of educational resources to local schools. The campaign reached hundreds of young people.
