Aline Campos Pereira (Law) works as part of the Right Lab’s Law and Policy Programme to investigate law and policy governing severe labour exploitation in principle and practice, with a focus on empowering worker voice in policy and decision-making. Aline is a PhD student in Law, researching severe labour exploitation of rural workers in Pará, Brazil. She is supervised by Dr Katarina Schwarz, Dr Andrea Nicholson, and Professor Kevin Bales. Aline is a Labour Judge in the Regional Labour Court of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, an qualified Attorney of Law in Brazil, with over a decade of experience in socio-legal research and decision-making in cases of contemporary slavery and severe labour exploitation.
