George Foden is a social scientist who works as part of the Rights Lab's Measurements and Geographies programme, including a current project focused on forced child begging. His research background includes the vulnerabilities to exploitation of disaster- and conflict-exposed communities. His doctoral research focused on the role of humanitarian intervention in facilitating or undermining community resilience to disasters, and he works closely with sector partners to monitor and evaluate the longer-term impacts of humanitarian shelter programmes.
