Email: Grace.Robinson1@nottingham.ac.uk

Dr. Grace Robinson (Sociology and Social Policy) works as part of the Rights Lab's Communities and Society Programme on a UKRI-funded project led by Dr. Ben Brewster about the implications of COVID-19 for child criminal exploitation and county lines. Her research is assessing changes and continuities in perpetrator behaviour during the pandemic, showing whether criminal business models change due to a changing risk and/or profitability profile. The research will provide evidence upon which police, safeguarding and care organisations can formulate interventions that address county lines-related offending, and reduce risk to vulnerable children and adults. Her research background is in gangs, child criminal exploitation and county lines, and she has completed extensive research in criminal justice and alternate educational organisations exploring both young people’s and practitioners' perspectives on county lines. She also has experience of being an expert witness in county lines court cases, with a focus on grooming and exploitation.
