Rights Lab Visiting Fellow in Anti-Slavery Innovation and Financial Crime Analytics

Katherine Conroy joins the Rights Lab as a Visiting Fellow with over three years of experience at Moody’s Analytics, leading innovation in data-asset design for the risk and compliance space. Her collaboration with the Rights Lab is based in the Business and Economies programme, as well as the Measurement and Geographies Programme. She is passionate about identifying opportunities in new technology to deliver risk-relevant information and drive positive impact decisions toward global sustainability. Her research contributes to various webinars, podcasts, and white papers on modern slavery, wild-life trafficking, identity matching, and the correlation to evolving financial crime and supply chain due diligence. Spending her undergraduate years at Tulane University in New Orleans, University College of Dublin, and Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in Brazil, Katherine earned her Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and International Development with a background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and multi-lingual research foundations in human rights and environmental justice. Before joining Moody’s, Katherine worked in tech sales, media broadcasting, and political campaigning. Most recently, Katherine completed her certification for Moody’s Fintech and Innovation Training program at Cornell University.
