Laoise Ní Bhriain
Rights Lab Senior Research Fellow in Strategic Project Development
Laoise Ní Bhriain leads the Rights Lab's strategic project development. She works with all five of our research programmes, with a particular focus on our Communities & Society programme, on the design and delivery of research in collaboration with antislavery civil society organisations, development and humanitarian organisations, and community-based organisations. She works on the impact of research for this civil society community, and the application of Rights Lab research in civil society interventions. She co-develops research projects with external partners, and works to understand the research needs of the civil society sector in order to inform Rights Lab research priorities. Before joining the Rights Lab in 2019, she worked with Anti-Slavery International as Learning and Accountability Manager, focused on monitoring, evaluation and learning within a range of anti-slavery interventions in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the UK. She also has worked on human rights programmes in Ireland and Honduras. She holds a Masters in International Development from Kimmage Development Studies Centre.
