Rights Lab Assistant Professor in Business and Society
Dr. Lara Bianchi (Business) works as part of the Rights Lab's Ecosystems and the Environment Programme on the intersection between modern slavery, workers' rights, and environmental issues. This work closes the gap in management studies on remedy for workers under slavery conditions. Her past projects include work on the role of smaller UK businesses in tackling modern slavery, and on developing an anti-slavery policy toolkit for Chinese Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) in the UK, to help companies build a coherent antislavery policy with human rights due diligence focused on modern slavery conditions within supply chains. Her research background is in social accountability, and in particular responsible business conduct and the impact of the private sector on fundamental rights.
