Professor Stuart Marsh (Engineering) works as part of the Rights Lab's Measurement and Geographies Programme to apply geospatial datasets to the process of detecting and mapping modern slavery sites. This currently focuses on the use of citizen science to identify sites of slavery, including across the 'brick belt' of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. His research background is the application of Earth Observation data from satellites and aircraft to environmental and engineering problems.
