research ethics

Rights Lab project lead: Bethany Jackson
Funder: MSPEC
Duration: 1 November 2023 - 31 March 2024
Programme: Measurement and Geographies

This project assesses the current methods and issues facing the ethical application of research investigating modern slavery with a focus on the UK. Working with the University of Liverpool, we are undertaking a series of desk-based research and focus-group discussions to gain practical insights into the good-practice being undertaken and provide guidance for improvements where issues and gaps are identified. We will produce a series of practical guidance tools for researchers, research funders, research ethics committees, NGOs and individuals/groups with lived-experience, to provide support for ethical research practices in the anti-slavery sector. This research is funded by the MSPEC.
